Meet Matt —

Your Personal Sommelier

Matt cultivated his passion for great food and fine wines having spent over 10 years managing high-end award-winning hospitality venues in Sydney.

As a passionate sommelier, Matt has spent years advising clients on pairing the right wines to match their cuisine delivering exceptional service and most recently, curating wine lists for some of Sydney’s best restaurants. 

His hospitality background and desire to create memorable food and wine experiences for domestic and international travellers leveraging his extensive network led Matt to build his own tour business Sydney Privé which specialises in private food and wine tours across Greater Sydney and Australia. 

Matt is passionate about sourcing boutique, delicious, small-production wines and sharing the story behind it. Connecting his clients with exceptional wines and curating memorable wine experiences is what inspired him to create Somm Selection.
